Meet Our Professors

Elder Dr. Jacqueline (Carrington) L. Farrow is a (1968) graduate of Eastern Senior High, Baltimore (MD) City Public Schools.  After graduation she matriculated at the Morgan State University (1973/75) where she majored in Business Administration.  In 1990, she satisfied the course requirements (diploma) for Religious Studies at the Philadelphia Bible Institute & College, Baltimore, MD.  In May, 1992, she  received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Virginia Seminary & College, Lynchburg, Virginia.  She later received a Master of Divinity of degree in May, 1998, from the Maryland Theological Seminary.  She was later awarded honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degrees in May, 2002 from both the Maryland Theological Seminary and Eastern Theological Seminary (Lynchburg, Virginia), where she presently serves as Dean, Religious Education.

Dr. Matthew D. McCoy attended the Washington Baptist Seminary, graduating in June of 1989.  Shortly after matriculating at the Washington Baptist Seminary, Dr. McCoy was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in December of 1992.  He was elected Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Fairmont Heights On October 3, 1993, and served until December of 1998.  Dr. McCoy went on to further his education at the Eastern/Maryland Theological Seminary graduating with a Bachelor of Theology in Mat 2003; a Master of Divinity in May 2010; and awarded a Doctor of Divinity in September of 2011.  He was recently serving as Assistant Pastor at The Pillar of Truth Christian Fellowship, where the Rev. Rudolph V. McCoy, Jr. is Pastor.

 

Dr. McCoy has also done much work within the community in various capacities.  He served as Chaplain for the United Fire Fighters T.A.S.K. of the IABPFF of Prince George's County Fire Department.  He also served as an Assistant Chaplain for the Prince George's County Fire Department.  Dr. McCoy served on the Board of Director's of the Kingman Boys and Girls Club of Washington, DC and he also served on the Board of Director's of the Namyanka Dance Ministry of Baltimore MD.

Rev. Dr. Rudolph V. McCoy, Jr., Pastor of Pillar of Truth Christian Fellowship, was called into the Gospel ministry in 1990, obtained his license to preach in 1991, and was ordained in 1993.

 

Pastor Rudolph McCoy has an Associate Degree in Ministerial Studies, a Bachelor’s in Pastoral Studies, a Master’s Degree in Theology from The Mid-Atlantic Baptist Institute and a Master’s of Divinity from The Eastern Theological Seminary. Pastor Rudolph McCoy has served as an Associate Minister at First Baptist Church of Fairmount Heights under Rev. Matthew McCoy and the Rev. Doctor Bernard Winchester, Assistant to the Pastor of Douglas Memorial United Methodist Church under the Rev. Doctor Charlene Monk and the Rev. Doctor Helen

Stafford-Fleming, and he served as the Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church of District Heights, MD. under Pastor James Holt. Pastor Rudolph McCoy is recognized as an Adjunct Professor at the Eastern Theological Seminary, Baltimore Campus, Baltimore, MD.

Professor Letricia Loftin Russell A graduate of Hampton University, Loftin has a B.A. in Mass Media Arts, and a Master of Divinity from Maryland Theological Seminary (MTS). She is a Doctoral Candidate at MTS, and is an Associate Minister with Pleasant Rock Baptist Church, where her father, Rev. Dr. Timothy Loftin is Pastor, and her mom, Rev. Dr. Doris Loftin is Associate Minister and Leading Lady.  She also serves First Baptist Church of Glenarden as the Marketing and Public Relations Director of their community arm, SHABACH! Ministries, Inc., which includes a community food bank, clothing closet boutique, wellness and health center, community services support, and Christian academy.

Since 1990, Loftin served as a Gospel radio personality in several markets, and was called into the Gospel ministry in 2015.  She obtained her license to preach in 2016, and is a current candidate for Ordination.

 

With a heart for Worship ARTS, Loftin is the author of "Not to Entertain You - The Ministry of Dance" -and- "Praise Him with the Timbrel and Dance".  She founded and leads MinistHER, a celebration of women in ministry, which includes a podcast, a line of inspirational t-shirts, as well as scripture-based scented soy candles. She is the Founder and Executive Director of the Little Miss Black US of A Pageant - an out-of-box ministry that celebrates, honors and promotes little Black girls across the nation - their legacy, brilliance and excellence.  Her voice is well sought after, and she travels the East Coast serving as Worship Leader, emcee and facilitator of youth and women empowerment sessions.
